Ingredients -
- 1 lb ground beef, lean
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 package shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 package taco shells
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation:
Heat taco shells in oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Take out and set aside.
In a large skillet brown the ground beef, drain off any excess liquids. Stir in the tomato sauce, taco seasoning and garlic powder. Place about a 3/4 in tall mixture of ground beef in the bottom of each taco shell and top with cheese. This will allow the cheese to melt. Then top with lettuce and tomato. Add salsa or hot sauce if desired.
